Another self-penned Bloomfield missive from Jenny! Love the lolling elephant...nonchalant.
Rolfe has been jet-setting again. Only the Channel Islands, but that's practically France isnt' it.
In first reading I thought this was 'Greetings from Jersey and Gerald.' I like the idea of a flamingo called Gerald. All sounds like fun and I want to go to the zoo too.
Another beautiful teal offering from Bloomfield, with a bit of Mid Century charm - gorge!
'Rendered in cous-cous'
All you need say...
Rolfe's been globetrotting...
...Urban Dallas. Not a cowboy hat in sight!
Another gorgeous US offering from Bloomfield. A bit of a colour theme emerging here - see next few posts!
Couldn't agree with this sentiment more really. Twitter-what?
Bloomfield reports from 'the wrong side of The Pennines'!
Missives from Manchester!
Not sure what is going on with FMB's hair either!
Well, Rolfe is getting me back, there's been a positive flurry of postcards landing on the mat. Here are 2 of them: who can argue with a bit of Muybridge and the wonder of elephant knees...
Rolfe - late to the party as always....
Voila Bloomfield's first missive of the new year! A bold, colourful exploration of fibre tips if ever I saw one!
Her resolution, by the way, has definitely been actionned: as my husband returns from the front door buckling under the weight of mail he can often be heard uttering the words "Can you tell Jenny to stop sending so many postcards please....."
There's been a bit of a postcard project hiatus recently - big apologies - we were just so busy with orders in November and December everything else fell by the wayside.
Now we're in the comfort of January I was pleased to receive this seasonal offering from Rolfe... we're both big fans of Richard Long and his poetic wanderings (and great use of red type).
This one has been hanging around for ages. Scary baby - not very Greek looking.
Actually... reddish hair.... blue eyes..... rosy cheeks.... Mrs Price, is this a comment on baby Bloomfield?
...although to be fair I think I have lost track and quite possibly missed a few. Still, Bloomers doesn't disappoint in the quantity stakes (or quality-of course!) but then - she was in the US of A and what they don't know about quantity you could write on the back of a postcard. Oh......er...
A stunning watercolour from the honeymooning-Rolfe this time - Bravo!
A brilliant spot from Rolfe here at the local village show. Yes, the judging is tad pedantic. My immediate reaction was that Tallulah aged 8 probably had some help here.
[caption id="attachment_379" align="alignnone" width="670"] Rolfe was tempted to try this too but soon-to-be Mr Rolfe was a bit grumpy at that point and wasn't playing. Let's stick with this idyllic family pose instead...[/caption]
Remember what I was saying a while back about Bloomers outdoing me in the postcard stakes - well yes, they are racking up and so I feel a double hit is in order, especially as both relate to the sporting-feel-good-glory and shenanigans that was London 2012.
As a London commuter myself I was poised for disaster in one way or another; the whole thing really did look a bit like an enormous accident just waiting to happen and we all held our collective breaths to see what would go wrong first and in quite how big a manner. But, the occasional mix up with Korean flags aside, we couldn't have been more wrong - from the moment that first choir boy sang to that tumultuous firework extravaganza we witnessed tonight the occasion was unparalleled, memorable and inspirational - not in the least for the budding postcard senders at B&R.
Here Bloomfield hits us with a double whammy - I'm sure in actual fact it was a hat-trick but I seem to have lost one somewhere....
[caption id="attachment_380" align="alignnone" width="684"] Bloomfield really outdoing herself here. I wonder how many sketches there were done actually inside the Olympic Stadium? Answers on a postcard please...[/caption]
